Saturday dinner plate special

Saturday was a good day for the josh miester.

Woke up early thanks to my Victor who jumped on me and almost gave me a heart attack. He wanted to show me his new car...aiyo, ok lah, the car was nice..hehe..so woke up, and set up my pc to get ready for the RIVERZ video production. Chatted for a while then got ready to go to church for youth worship practise...was sensing it was going to be a fun day.
Reached church at 1230, after a frantic search for the Planet Shakers "Always and Forever" CD...which Debbie took to Muar....haiys.
Waited for Patrick to come, cause i forgot to tell him what time to set foot in church *hits head* and Abigail who was cleaning her house in a last ditched effort to make it *SEEM* nice for her mom who was coming back...THEN...we started at 1245.....haha
And rushed through the songs, cause my Dad wanted to practise for Sunday worship and the Holy Spirit meeting..
1635, we started the youth service...15 songs.....1 and a half hours.....and not all worship songs some more you know..
walau..
stuff like....Always and Forever, King of Majesty, One Way, Forever...all Jumpable songs....and that is what we did....JUMP. lol. Was soooo great worshipping God with music and dance....though the crowd was limited...but hey....HE was there...so, no worries...
After the tiring jumping about, took Victor home, and was just sitting at the PC...when.....
LO AND BEHOLD.....
there came an sms....
from...

Sujeeta Elizabeth Menon.

unexpected, yes!
delighted, absolutely!
shocked, Uh-huh!
fainted, no lah not so extreme lah!

she asked me if i wanted to join her and k and j for dinner/supper at Fisherman's village...
Would i say no....*thinks for 3.2 seconds*.....NO!
haha
however, there was one problem...if i left now....Victor would be alone at home....how could i do such a thing....so i called Caleb, hoping and praying that he was on the way home...and ALAKAZAM....he was at the interchange....
LUCK? in dont think so....Divine timing....definitely...so i got dressed like really quick, ( plus hair gel, perfume, accesories, nice t-shirt, and a shower of course...) and made it there in record time after a stupid delay with an atm. my fault lah.
Im just so glad i could meet her...thats all that mattered really.
After drinks and some chicken wings, and 2 camera shots, and Suj's Tiger friend ( sorry couldnt resist) lol. We (J alone of course) send his dearest K home while me a Suj went back to the interchange to meet her close JC classmate...who was not in a good mood at the time. So we spent some time with him, Jason, really nice guy....smart and friendly. Till about 1 plus, i had to go home (very sadly) and J and Suj crashed at Jason's place. It was a reunion of sorts i guess....hehe.
So thus ended my wonderfully beautiful day....thanks to Dim Sum once again who made my day. (as if she will never be able to)

Exploring the hidden jungle trails of...MacRitchie

Just came back from a 7 km jungle trek through MacRitchie...wah...its not shiong lor....in fact, it only made me realise how much i miss adventuring through jungles, trekking, and orienteering. Haiys, those were the days, leading a group of kiddies on their first time through the jungle, through long grass mosqitoes and muddy waters....Haiys. This is the kind of stuff i love to do, besides music of course, i just lost touch with it after i tore my ACL. i have to rekindle this love again, and start another fire, hope fully both go hand in hand ( they should lah..)
There was one thing that really pissed me off...we spent 3.2 click trekking to get to our objective, the tree top walk...which was only 250 meters long...what a let down. haiys. should have been longer, and there should have been more monkeys...maybe they decided to go for tea too..lol
well,
also a big thanks to Matt Ong, who drove his NEW BMW 630i.....haha. had the time of my life...and a great experience...hehe. thanks man.

well, im pooped, i need tea and i need sleep.

ORD mood is setting in / Butterfly Wings

Its 4 months away, but im feeling it now...the tiredness, the lethargic feeling in my body, the laziness.....its bad......but hey, who's complaining...he he

Well recently, i have had to completely let go of certain issues that have been tugging at my heart for a very long time. its been delayed so long, cause i was afraid of witnessing the consequences. And the ability of the other party to handle the situation. finally its been done, and hopefully, it final, and i dont have to worry about it anymore. It has caused many a complication in my life. And too much hurt. I pray about it, but ultimately it is up to me to excecute, and i have failed many time...but this time it has been done. And it was done as concienciously as possible.

For an immaculate butterfly

delicate silk
shredded on my
roughened fingertips

ethereal cobwebs
shimmer with dew
rent with a touch
angelic dust on
butterfly wings
such untouchable things
fingerprints leave
death in their wake
flight stole
death quake
love gentle wings
a gosamer touch
spring soon unburden
the vision too much
fall to my knees
reach to the sky
God softens rough hands
and opens my eyes
sprinkle with dust
sprout butterfly wing
i become and untouchable thing
transform me
with butterfly wings
truth it sounds
eloquent rings
ancient voice
clarity
sounds dirges
sound fragile things
hear my heart sing
butterfly wings

2 YEAR POINT

Yesterday was a historical day in the life of NEMESISSKYWALKER.

It was my second anniversary with her. the one who tried to make my dreams come true, but threw me into the pit of HELL.

Im talking about the SAF lah goooons.....

Its been 2 years serving this country. And its been an eye opening 2 years...anyone who says the army doesnt change you...has his pants on fire.

Life never got sweeter than in OETI., where i became who i am, and i met the dream breakfast of my life.

Now, my ORD date is the most sweet smelling thing...
(though im still worried about my scholarship, and gradutate studies)

Well, i better sleep, or i'll knock out tomorrow morning.

So, at a period where time stands still, and i worry about dim sum....alas....what can i do about it? my hands are tied by an invisible rope of self-restraint, understanding and patience.Though that may be good, i am writhing in pain at the thought of being so close but not close enough to provide understanding huggability when it is needed most.
I feel so close yet being kept at a distance....
Though i respect that, its just eating my poor little heart that i cant comfort the way i want to.
Maybe i should take the first step in establishing first contact with outer space *oops* i mean dim sum.

Dim sum, if you read this...i really want to get to know you more, and i really sense something special. I know you are occupied with school, and dance, and youth...and i really want to be there supporting you, cause i believe we have very similar callings...i know you know that...

I'll be patient and pray. Good things come to those who wait, please just be open to the notion of giving me a chance.

Meanwhile, life in ADSD, is getting better, with me working on the 'Ambulance' project....which is really fun working with Ang, Tony, and Kumar...and looking forward to the finished product....DAMN its going to be beautiful....

looking forward to ORD OH!!!!!!.......4 months and 3 days....

FIREWORKS FESTIVAL 2005

Met Min and Fer at city hall after walking around orchard with Gareth and Soo Bin ( helping the undecided plane boy to buy a plane model ). We went for dinner at Marina Square's Swensens, and had a BAKED RICE AND TREASURE ISLAND FRENZY! ( with extra cheese of course ).

Then i went to fetch Dim Sum from the bus stop, and then introduced her to my 2 dearies. She looked stunning as usual, and we walked to Marina Promenade to catch the Fireworks..(from the French this time....and it was THE BEST of the 3) go to My Photo Album on the sidebar. My parents were there too, and (luckily) we never saw them *phew*.
So we headed to Baker's Inn for desert...

It was yummy of course, we had NY Cheesecake, Choco Noir and few other stuffs...so it was great...and we ( well the girls mostly ) talked about school, kids students....and i was busy clicking away at them..he he...yeah.

So we had a great time, and i got to send SujAngel home, and we had a good converstion, though i wished it didnt have to end...sadly...It will however be another night ill never forget. :)

Thanks Min, and Fer, for being on my side...lol
And Thanks Suj, for being who you are to me.

FOP, NDP, FWF

Well, where shall i start...
FOP
Festival was awsome with Hillsongs and Delirious...reached at 3 plus after church cause my sisters didnt want to get horrible seats...so got in queue, and waited for Brian, and the rest of the gang from GTC...was so nice though, meeting more people from GTC, and getting to know SujAngel's friends, turns out i have a lot in common, and im like so comfortable with them, which is unusual but a great feeling...we also did some illegal stuff lah...( i cant believe i did that, but if we didnt, everyone would have been everywhere, and i wouldn't have gotten the best seat in the house... ;) but the praise and worship was worth the long wait... all the new songs from the Look to You album, and the greatest hits from Delirious...and one of the unexpected things that happened was me getting to hold Suj's hand and praise Him with dancing....that was way cool...and sweet. But i must say...sonicfest was better, with riverz and sonicflood.

NDP
Was really a last minute thing, when i woke up at 12.30 on the 9th, i walked to the dining table and saw a video cam...the first time i just thought..Oh...a videocam...then i went to my room..then i rushed out and went....ARRHGGGHH, a VIDEO CAM!!....hehe..was so surprised. My dad actually borrowed it from his office.....and it was a BLOODY GOOD ONE TOO lol....So i called Cherine and asked if she was still up for some more fireworks...after last night's midnight fireworks( in the next segment ). So we met at city hall, and walked all the way to Esplanade, which was soooo crowded, but i was determined to use the BLOODY GOOD VIDEO CAM, and take some wonderful shots....i mean how could i miss all those planed sooooo close....chance of a lifetime...the video will be up on a later date...hopefully..
lol. SO yeah, we like managed to squeeze our way to the front, only to be entertained by a guy in a red suit with horns dancing to some R&B...ridiculous..lol. so we waited....

and waited...

and waited....

Then....

we waited some more..

THEN, the Chinooks, lined up, with the state flag underslung, and flew towards us with accuracy, and sytle...WAS AWSOME..lol. hehe
Then of course came the F16s, with afterburners screaming, breaking into an beautiful starburst ( i almost cried.. haha). Directly above me.
About half 15 mins later, we watched in silent amazement, as the RSAF paraded its might.
First came the Chinooks, in twin bladed glory, flanked by Super Pumas...
Then came the transport and operations aircraft, C130, Fokker 50 and the ever viglant E2C...
Majestically pursued by the most amazing sight.....a streamlined KC135, winged on each side by 2 F5Es...i have never seen such an astounding sight...
Then as all eyes were fixed on the Enormous tanker above our heads...2 F16s approached with blinding speed, and did a crossover into a breakaway.....i was just lost for words by this point...then they circled around as 2 more did a death defying cross into each others paths. Circling around, the first aircraft kicked in its afterburners, and shot into a superb vertical climb......ABOVE MY HEAD.....ARGGGGHHH....

im lost for words to describe any of this anymore....just watch the video when it comes out please..
thanks...

Then we just waited for the highlight of the evening....
FIREWORKS....3 locations all together, the Esplanade Bridge, Marina Bay and Marina South...i had trouble trying to focus..
hehe

i can only say, watch the video...

then we had to battle our way the the INFAMOUS SINGAPORE AFTER PARTY CROWD....and walked all the way to BUGIS to take a BUS..aiyo...

FWF( Fireworks Festival )
Through rain and shine...muddy shoes and huge crowds....we pressed on....and there it was...
The most beautiful sight you could ever imagine, synchronised to the most captiviting music, clouds of fire, sparkles and light, fulfilling the wildest and brightest Van Gogh...All i can say is that...you should have been there...just for that 15 minutes of wonder and beauty. A picture in your mind for ever.

Dear Suj, i really hope you can come on the 14th, i dont want you to miss this...
